This training is for Gloucestershire based organisations/services - aimed at front line staff, volunteers, community workers, councillors etc who support communities/households who may be at risk of fuel poverty.
The training is fully certified by the CPD Certification Service and will count towards any CPD goals of staff/volunteers.
The 2 hour online training session will provide an introductory overview of:
• Fuel poverty what it is, how it comes about and who is at risk
• Key health/wellbeing impacts of fuel poverty /cold homes and what makes a healthy home
• Spotting the signs that someone is struggling
• Home energy efficiency and factors that impact this
• Energy advice to improve energy welfare - top10 tips, getting information & control - heating systems/controls, meters and billing checklist.
• Support for householders - including funding and where to refer/ signpost.
